ActionAid International South Africa (AAISA) seeks to recruit a Women Rights Intern, based in Johannesburg.

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, sociology, anthropology, international or development studies;
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: land and food, climate justice, youth, mining and LGBTI;
  • Ability to write reports, policy analysis and lobbying products will be an advantage
  • Commitment to supporting social justice agenda in South Africa, regionally and internationally;
  • Knowledge and practice of feminism;
  • Confidence and networking skills;
  • Ability to collaborate and work in the diverse environments
  • Progressive thinker and commitment to principles of anti-racism, anti-sexism, anti-homophobia, anti-xenophobia;
  • Fluently in English and at least one South African language;
  • Research skills;
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
