REGISTRY CLERK
SALARY : R121 290 per annum (Level 6)
CENTRE : Polokwane Regional Office


REQUIREMENTS : A Grade 12 Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
(2) Two – (4) Four years experience
in registry/records environment. Computer literacy. Thorough understanding and knowledge
of the National Archives Act, Minimum Information Security Standards, HR policies,
procedures and processes. Knowledge of filing system. Good administrative, organizational,
strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to work under pressure and in a team.
Record management certificate will be an advantage. Knowledge of Persal will be an added
advantage. Good record keeping skills.

DUTIES : Responsible for the maintenance of HR registry. Safekeeping of current closed and
terminated departmental files. Ensure maintenance of HR files. Open, close and trace HR
files. Receive files from other Departments. File documents accordingly, referencing of
documents and ensure that there is no backlog in filing. Ensure that there is no file that leave
registry without being recorded. Scrutinize records and dispatch outgoing correspondences.
Sort and post documents. Deal with all HR registry related queries on a daily basis, in
accordance with Batho Pele principles.
