COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER SALARY : R121 290 per annum (Level 6) CENTRE : Polokwane Regional Office
REQUIREMENTS : A Grade 12 Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. An appropriate BA degree in Social Science will be an added advantage. Relevant experience. Knowledge of water and sanitation legislations and policies, institutional and social development, local government structures and processes needed. Experience in social development. Valid driver’s licence (attach a copy). The following skills are needed: facilitation, management of projects, communication, conflict resolution, monitoring and evaluation and computer literacy.
DUTIES : Support Water Services Authorities (WSAs) in their mandate to deliver water and sanitation services. Ensure integrated local government support. Ensure stakeholder involvement during policy formulation and implementation. Ensure intergovernmental relations. Support, plan and implement departmental projects and programmes. Render social development work in infrastructure projects. Manage service providers and monitor implementation of projects.
